BROCK IS THE NEW CANADIAN REP FOR AUSTIN AMERICAN

Several recent conversations between some of the Brock team & Glenn Seely, Sales & Marketing Manager at Austin American, culminated in some productive meetings at the Vegas venue for the APEX show. It didn’t take very long for both companies to recognise the value of the fit & arrangements moved quickly from that point. Within a week of the show, the decision to work together was firmed up on both sides.

For our part, we are proud to offer the Austin American equipment set to our Canadian customers & look forward to supporting the large installed base of existing users.

Austin American provides a full line of Batch & Inline cleaning systems, along with the renowned Goto X-Series of Stencil & Misprint cleaners.

We need to add representatives in the NE US for pretty much all products on our US line card.

In addition to support from the Brock sales & service teams, we have back up support from the manufacturers of these equipment offerings & pretty much all of them are getting great receptions at trade shows & from customers.

We are open to conversations with established reps & to those interested in getting a jump start into the game with a pretty full line card.

Test Research Inc. (TRI)

Every now & again, something sticks with such force that you can hardly believe your good fortune. It is rare that the right combination of product, people & attitude come at you out of the blue but this is the case for us, with TRI.

They were, until last year, pretty much a well kept secret, with a booming business in Asia but many North American & European manufacturers, with facilities in Asia, were specifying TRI equipment at those facilities. It didn’t take long for the word to spread.

We are now seeing them leap onto the world stage with innovate AOI solutions, the awesome new 7600 AXI platform & most recently, with their new TR7007 Solder Paste Inspection system. Do you know that Test Research Inc. sold more than 300 AOI & SPI systems in Q1 this year! Along with over 250 test solutions. Demand for the new AXI solution outstripped the capability of the ramp up schedule to ship machines in Q1 but even with those challenges, 15 systems were shipped in Q1-2010. This is a phenomenal company, with a phenomenal product offering. These guys truly are the real deal & we’re seeing it in every equipment evaluation we engage in with them. You really have to take a look!

All Work & No Play?

Yeah, we all complain bitterly about how hard a show week is for us exhibitors but really, is it as bad as the “martyr brigade” claim it to be!

Well, yeah, for the most part it’s a pretty tough week. We arrive late Saturday, spend all day Sunday & Monday doing booth set up. Closing day means a tear down operation that can go ‘til midnight & there’s a bunch of meetings to attend before & after the show but you know what? We always manage to find time for a little fun too!

This year, a secret contingent visited The Gun Store for a little all American fun! You know that we’re all tied up & rule bound in the Great Frozen North, for cryin’ out loud we even need a license for a pocket knife up here, but we love to go wild when we visit our Southern brothers in the US!
